Citizen Outreach joins fight to protect confidentiality of non-profit donors

(January 17, 2017) – Citizen Outreach and Citizen Outreach Foundation have joined several other non-profit organizations in filing an amicus brief with the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals in opposition to efforts by the State of New York to force non-profits to register with the state’s attorney general before being allowed to fundraise in the state, as well as disclose the identities of our major donors.

Citizen Outreach fought a similar disclosure battle in 2014 against the Nevada Secretary of State and ultimately won on appeal.
